When you first become a Christian you are really careful to stay "squeaky clean". Kind of like when you first buy something. You're super careful with it but as time passes you relax and don't care about it as much. We are the same way with our faith. We get comfortable knowing He will wash it all away and make it new.
We get comfortable in our little sins knowing that He will wash it all away each and every day. Instead of trying to be better than yesterday. We wallow in the same rut, making the same mistake over and over. We must step out in faith because of our love for Him and try to be more like him. How do we know what and who he wants us to be? By reading the bible and then putting it into action and taking another step forward.
What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it? Romans 6:1-2
