A Letter To You- An Autumn Poem

As Autumn sets in,

And the leaves start to change,

And the air becomes crisp.

I think of all the things we missed.

Of you carving your first pumpkin.

Your first sip of cider.

Of jumping in piles of leaves.

Of making pies and cookies.

Of new traditions and old.

Of stories of pumpkins and the magic of legends of old.

Of campfires and marshmallows.

Of long walks and playing in the park.

Curling up on the couch with a good book and a warm drink.

Of listening to jazz and dancing to songs about the season.

Of pilgrims and Indians.

And of plays in costumes made by hand.

Thoughts of you fill my mind,

Of your smile, and your laugh,

And I love you, evermore.
