Beautiful Embroidered Linen Skirt Outfit

 Good morning. Sorry for disappearing its been a busy couple of weeks, the baby is doing great and is so adorable! He is 4 weeks old today, and along with it comes his one month photo shoot. The prison still hasn't gotten him cleared to visit his mommy.  Lil' Britches went back to live with his parents two weeks ago, we miss him a lot. The house is very quiet without him. The weeks are now full of planting seeds, working in the yard, chores, school, blogging, meeting my friends in Africa to chat online, taking care of the baby, sewing and probably a lot more that can't remember -mostly due to the fact I didn't go to bed until almost 2 this morning and then got up at 7-.

Tiered Denim Skirt And Peasant Blouse

Hi everyone! Who's excited that March is finally here? This week marks our first week of gardening season for us, Whoohoo! I love getting my hands dirty doing this then at the end of the season you see that that bit of soil under your nails that drove you crazy was well worth it, and then the hours spent in the steamy hot kitchen as we can it as a family. It's one of my favorite things about summer.

Another thing I am still getting use to is Lil' Britches's morning routine. Early to rise, wake everyone that is still trying to sleep for a few moments longer, than its off to "EAT" and whoever is still really wanting sleep pulls the covers over there head and tries to either sleep or just straight pretends to be. As soon as Lil' Britches feet again touch the floor it's for the purpose of getting people out of bed... (this is the point where the very brave of us stay in bed but the rest are bolting out of it) And once every one is out of bed its time to PLAY! While the rest of us try cold water or coffee to wake us up (which by the way my sister makes some killer coffee and potatoes but that is a different story).

Today we are iced in and my dad had to stay home. Can I say that I am glad and not sound awful?  We miss  him so much and he has been so busy working.  By the way, can you sled on ice? But it was a lot of fun to be able to Skype with my Africa living friends again today! Anyway that's my week... peppered with groceries trips, chores, planning of meals, sewing, school, and a few other things. Oh and the baby was born this morning at 1 A.M.!!!!!! Yes I know, don't decorate with exclamation points, but I am excited about this one. The phone was ringing off the hook this morning! We all jump when we hear it and then... it's the hospital telling us we will be picking him up by the end of the week.  Please pray for him and his momma.  It would mean so much to her, and us.

 First, as much as I love doing My Crazy Life - A Week Of Modest Clothing- I just don't have the time and especially with the baby coming (another child we will be taking care of through this ministry). So I will be taking it down to one outfit per week. Sorry ladies, but I hope you will stay with us!

Second, I talked to my very dear friends who moved to Africa three years ago as missionaries (ever wonder how I come up with Jewelry from Africa?) about joining this blog as co-writers! They think it will be a lot of fun and said they will think about it! Keep your fingers crossed!

A Week Of Funky Fun Outfits

Monday:

Wow! That is about how I would sum up the last week. Hi everyone, sorry for not posting last week but I have been really busy. Last Saturday, our friends that run the ministry we are working with (It helps pregnant women in incarcerated and homeless families/families with children that are going through a hard time. The ministry provides a safe home for a family in the church for the babies/children until their parents can take them back) called with an emergency placement for a 2-year-old little boy living with us plus we are taking in a newborn baby soon. So as of last Saturday, there has been a little boy in the house. Two is a magical age but it is also an age that keeps everyone else on there toes.

Tuesday:

He loves fire trucks and to go for walks, oh and the dogs and chickens! He follows all around and helps us with everything from laundry to dishes to doing windows (I'm glad he likes that job because I don't). It has been really fun and he is so sweet you can't help but fall in love with his little face. Sunday after church we are taking him to visit his mom and dad. Please keep us all in your prayers.

Wednesday:

It's harder to find time to blog between school and loving on the little one and chores but I am trying. I think I may have to take it back to one outfit a week we will have to see. We finally got family photos done! Yay! I have wanted to do them since September. They came out really well, and it was a lot of fun. Though trying to get everyone looking at the camera, in their spots and not to have little fingers in mouths was harder than I thought it would be.

    We went to visit a friends church yesterday, she sang Mary Did You Know. She sang it beautifully, it is my sisters favorite Christmas song and she said it was the best version she had ever heard. There was a great service and it really touched on some of the things we have been struggling with. After service, we went Christmas shopping to try to finish off our last minute shopping after shopping we were all starving so we went out to eat.

Hello, everyone! Hope all of the Americans here had a great Thanksgiving and for the rest of you I hope you had a great week! We spent ours with our wonderful adopted family. We didn't stop laughing all night it was so much fun. Now we are putting away the fall decorations and putting up the Christmas decorations. All but one of the trees are up the last one is always the real one this year it will be decorated with sea shells.
