Fashion Inspiration - A Week of Sweet Looks

Welcome to My Crazy Life. Literally. I hope the outfits I share in this post will inspire you to embrace modest fashion or or encourage you to keep going on your journey. If you would like to share outfits you love with me leave a comment below and I will give you my email address! Have a blessed week!

Monday:

Monday, I am wearing a knee length brown skirt, Corduroy leggings, Brown Shirt with a ruffle down the front, Gray boots and a pink flower. It has gotten cold here so I finally got to wear my new leggings. Yey!!  added my much loved boots. I ended up adding a sweater later on in the afternoon when I went shopping with my mom. By the time I got home I wished I had worn a coat. Brrrrrr. Ok so there may or may not have been a box of organic ice-cream in one of the bags I grabbed on the freezing dash to the front door which none the less was locked. Thanks sis.

Verse For The Day
Exodus 15:2 The Lord is my strength, my song, and my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him. He is my father’s God—I will exalt him.

Tuesday:

Tuesday, I am wearing a long brown skirt, Brown long sleeve skirt, Black boots, Brown comb, and a friendship necklace. I side braided my hair in a simple braid. I spent the day cleaning our house and re-color coding the closets (sorry bit of an organisation freak).

Verse Of The Day:
Numbers 6:24-26 May the Lord bless and protect you; may the Lord’s face radiate with joy because of you; may he be gracious to you, show you his favor, and give you his peace.

Wednesday:

Wednesday, I am wearing a floral patterned skirt, cream sweater with mid length sleeves, a green tank, tan high-heels. I used a clip to pull a bit of hair from each side of my face.

Verse Of The Day:

Joshua 10:14 There had never been such a day before, and there has never been another since, when the Lord stopped the sun and moon—all because of the prayer of one man. But the Lord was fighting for Israel.

Thursday:

Thursday, I am wearing a jean skirt re-do (I made it out of a dress), a black long sleeve shirt with lace at the wrist, a black hairnet and black high-heels (in the last shot of this outfit I am actually wearing gray boots). This Skirt is supper fun and great for work or more classy stuff. I really like how this outfit paired with the hair net came out.

Verse Of The Day:
Philippians 4:8  And now, brothers, as I close this letter, let me say this one more thing: Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others. Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about.

Friday:

Friday, I am wearing a rust/orange silk skirt, tan long-sleeve shirt, corset style tank, lace flat shoes and a feather headband. I love the skirt! It is so much fun to spin in (sorry I know weird). My sister and I were cleaning out the garage today. Note to self next time wait for dad to help you move the heavy table so it doesn't land on your toes. Ouch!! After my sister (with out a heavy object in her hands) shot these photo I quickly lost the shoes.

Verse Of The Day:

Psalms 20:7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.

Saturday:

Saturday, I am wearing a plaid green and brown skirt, brown long sleeve top, brown tank, brown leggings, black boots, and I used a clip in my hair. At first I had my hair down and just the front clipped back like on Wednesday but after playing with Faith (our two year old Border Collie) I was very hot so I clipped it all up into a bun.  Did I mention that Border Collies were really really fast? Well if I didn't they are!

Verse Of The Day:
Job 39:19-25 Do you give the horse its strength or clothe its neck with a flowing mane? Do you make it leap like a locust, striking terror with its proud snorting? It paws fiercely, rejoicing in its strength, and charges into the fray. It laughs at fear, afraid of nothing; it does not shy away from the sword. The quiver rattles against its side, along with the flashing spear and lance. In frenzied excitement it eats up the ground; it cannot stand still when the trumpet sounds. At the blast of the trumpet it snorts, ‘Aha!’ It catches the scent of battle from afar, the shout of commanders and the battle cry.

Sunday:

Sunday, I am wearing a black long sleeve shirt with lace at the wrist, a tie dyed green skirt, black high-heels and a black sequined headband. It was warmer today so I didn't have to wear leggings under my skirt (Woohooo!!! Sorry I really don't like to be cold). Today was my first time wearing high-heels to church. The sermon today was about leaving a legacy. Abraham left a legacy of faith for his children to follow. It is not how you begin but how you finish your legacy. "Your reputation is what is on your tomb stone, your legacy is what your family will remember" What will your Legacy be?

Verse Of The Day:
Hebrews 11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. ...

  2. Lovely outfits, dear. You have inspired me to continue on with learning how to dress more feminine--and I'm 56! I may get out of these jeans, boots and tshirts yet.
