Summery Navy Blue Outfit

Hi guys! It's raining today so we can't work out in the yard today, so its house work for us- er ah ok so actually I am working on a photo book with the photos from our trip to California. But I'm inside and I'm working, so therefore I'm doing "House work" right?

We got so much done in the yard last week! It looks wonderful. And I may have started the pool, what? Its almost Memorial day... its only about 5 weeks away, give or take a few days. The mower is still in the shop (going on week 2). AHHHHH! We really need to mow- and while it is possible to use our push weed-eater its is extremely unpractical on an acre and a tenth. Especially since we live on a very sharp hill.  I think we need goats. Think it would bother the neighbors? They are just big dogs right? Baaaahhhh. What? He has a cold!

I finished a great book called The Confessions Of A Prayer Slacker by Diane Moody this morning. Loved it!
Brianna is helping me out this week :) , She is wearing a blue printed skirt, and dark blue tank top today.

Chiffon Skirt and Lavender Top

Good morning! Hope you all had a wonderful Easter. We went to a local church to watch "The Thorn". It was great! Also over the weekend I managed to get into something and now I have welts from my wrist to my elbow that itch like crazy! Leave it to me to get into things.

Also over the weekend we decided to sponsor a little boy from Uganda. He is so cute, I can't pronounce his first name but the name after it is David so I call him that. Keep him in your prayers?

Someone is supposed to come pick up the mowers to fix them, so we can get the grass mowed. We are the only ones with really long grass in the neighborhood now. Hopefully they can fix it soon so we can get it mowed this week. In between thunderstorms that is. Who knows maybe by the end of the week everyone else's will be the same length as ours.

It's hot and muggy today like it is in summer, which is strange for April but that's Tennessee for you. Always doing the opposite of what you expect. Makes me wish the pool was open for swimming, and we were having a BBQ. The window next to me is open and my cat is staring at me, when I look at her she gives me a short meow. She is trying to figure out how to get in, but to her disappointment the screen in the window keeps her out.

The eggs in the incubator are supposed to hatch next week,  I still need to get a brooder set up for them. Hopefully the hatch is a good one and all 4 eggs hatch (and please God no roosters!).

Today I am wearing a purple sweater and cream skirt and cream shoes. For accessories and jewelry I am wearing a dark purple flower in my hair, black sunglasses, pearl necklace and bracelets and simple stud earrings. I parted the front part of my hair to one side and bobby pinned it there. Then I used a Bumpit to push up the back half of my hair and pulled it all into a ponytail. Then used the flower to cover the bobby pins.

Black Printed Tiered Skirt Outfit

Good morning... It is morning, right? We got a pup Friday, he is absolutely adorable! He just is an early bird. And insists on getting up at 6:30 to eat breakfast. Which wouldn' t be so bad if I hadn't stayed up late watching a movie? So today I'm letting my sister take over while I get some sleep since I am the one that gets up with him and she sleeps in... So Brianna take it away and get Puppy off my toes! I'm going back to bed.

Hey there! Brianna here taking over my crazy life today to share this outfit I wore in California with you. I am wearing a black tank top and black and white skirt with white sandals. I braided a piece of hair by my face on one side and left the rest hanging.

Wispy Green and Blue Skirt Outfit

Happy Saint Patrick's Day! It's a beautiful day with a high in the 70's here in middle TN. The daffodils are in full bloom and all the trees are budding. One of our hens is broody, and quite cranky these days. We're expecting rain showers this afternoon. We are going to the movies tonight to watch Cinderella. I can't wait!

Friday we went to Nashville's first Irish Fest. Despite the rain, there was a pretty big crowd. The first time I have ever seen a Parking Garage used to park people. But it did keep you dry and it was close enough to the stage so you could listen to the music. We went because my sister is such a big fan of the Willis Clan.  We saw them perform one song but we had to leave an hour before they did their full performance because we were so wet and miserable when it was getting dark.  Brianna was sad but understood.  They seem to be a very sweet and talented family.  Hope that we can go and see them again for Brianna.

Leaf Print Skirt And Sweater Outfit

Good morning! Its a bit dreary today... it supposed to rain for most of the week. Anyone care for a boat load of mud? LOL! Well I'm sure someone other than me could do something creative with it, I really can't stand mud. Especially when the chicken decide to lay their eggs at the back of the runs where there is no door and I have to crawl through it to get them. But hey, on the bright side- its much warmer than last week! Which is very nice.

Yesterday mom and I were working on matching skirts, I can't wait to get them finished!
So today I am wearing a gray top, brown and cream skirt, camera necklace and tan sandals.

Brown Skirt And Graphic Tee

Good morning! It's cloudy today with a high of 55 but we are expecting an ice storm tomorrow which at some point is supposed to turn to ice and snow. NO!!!!! Spring, I want spring! LOL! We've been watching an old TV show that is based in Hawaii, needless to say, it is making me miss the beach... a lot.

Today Brianna is helping me out. Everyone say hi to Brianna. *Hi Brianna* ok now that that is out of the way. Brianna is wearing a printed capped sleeve printed purple shirt, brown knee length skirt, and black boots.

Silk Leaf Skirt And Sweater

Good morning! Well the snow and ice has all melted from last week, at least most of it, There is still a few slick places. Most of last week we were stuck at home but at the end of the week dad was finally able to get out and go to work but he had to park at the bottom of our 150' straight up a hill driveway. Sledding was fun though especially at night, when its hard to see to dodge the trees and the hole or two the dogs dug... ok and the telephone pole. But very very cold! We could only stay out for short amounts of time. It warmed up a little Sunday and we were finally able to get out and run to the store for chicken food.

Sunday was my grandma's birthday. I miss her so much... It seems so weird to not have her here.

It's cloudy here today and cold. We haven't been able to clean up after the ice storm yet. The chickens are just glad that the tarps we had around the coops to keep them dry and warm are off during the day now. As for me? Well I can't wait for spring! Tired of the cold weather ready to start planting. :)

Today I am wearing a brown and cream skirt with a leaf pattern on it, black sweater, tear drop necklace and black boots.

Romantic Skirt and Sweater Outfit

Good morning! Well it's a new year... what will we do different this year? We've been getting ready to say goodbye to Grandma one last time and celebrate her life. We are cleaning the house so it will be nice when we get back, cleaning the chicken runs and putting fresh shavings down, Packing (who knew it could be so hard to find flip flops and sandals in the dead of a southern winter), and school.

My adopted family is taking care of our animals while we are gone (Thanks Trish! You're awesome!). Right now dad is working on renting a car... Brianna is slightly disappointed we won't be renting a convertible. LOL. Ok, so driving down Pacific Coast Highway in a convertible would be nice. But I am not sure it is warm enough for it even in California.

I finished packing yesterday... Hey nothing like being prepared right? Besides I'll probably have repacked it no less then six times before we actually are on our way to the airport.
Today I am wearing a gray shirt, a cream, gray & tan printed skirt, brown high-heels, brown purse, pearl earrings and a book locket necklace.

A Little Patriotic Outfit

Hey, guys. It's Veterans day here in America. Thank you to all the men and women who have served our country. Sunday dad took us to the zoo Sunday for their Military Appreciation Day. It was so much fun and I got some great shots of the animals. It was so sweet to watch the military parents interact with their kids. Oh, and can I just say I HATE SNAKES (OK and massive spiders) so the whole building filled with creepy crawly things and crazy fish etc. was not so fun but I survived. :) We are expecting a cold snap next week, at least, that's what the weather people call it... in normal people talk it is going to get really cold and chores are going to be miserable. LOL! So all the winter leggings, coats, jackets, gloves, sweaters, shoes etc. will be pulled out of hiding.

Today I haven't quite given up on my warm weather, so I'm wearing my flag skirt, a red sequined shirt, navy blue jacket, a blue and white star bandanna, red stars and anchor earrings, and white and gold necklace and black high-heels. Ok so I may be playing on the whole red, white and blue thing but if you scroll down to the last photo you may understand a little better why.

Pretty Sage Sweater And Floral Skirt

Hey guys! I hope you had a great week... My dad's out of town, so its just us girls. Saturday two of my dad's school friends came for dinner. It was such a good time I don't think we stopped laughing all night. We had our first freeze a few nights ago, I was so sad to see all the pretty summer flowers go, but the colorful leaves almost make up for it. Our dog loves to play in them. She looks so cute! The cat on the other hand has begun to prefer to spend the nights inside the warm house curled in a chair.

I'm trying to decide whether to start putting up Christmas decorations or not... I just can't decide. We always have at least one of our six (I think it's six anyway it may be seven) trees up. What can I say we love Christmas. :) When do you start decorating?

So today I am wearing a green sweater top, white knee length skirt with a pink floral pattern, brown high-heels and a brown sequin purse (You may have noticed I have a slight obsession with sparkly/shinny things, They remind me of one of my foster brothers who was 2 and couldn't say my name so he called me "Shiney". The sparkly purse or earrings reminds me to pray for him when ever I see them.)

Color block skirt and top

Hey guys! Welcome back, hope you all had a great weekend. We spent the weekend getting the dining room painted a light gray color, it looks great! I love the way it came out. Mom and I washed the vinyl siding on the back of the house, then I cleaned out the chicken's runs, feeders and waters while Brianna cut out a bunch of thorny weeds around the chicken coops. And we cleaned out a few flower beds, replaced the light on the back deck, and put the last coat on a desk we have been re-doing. Then we cleaned out the attic and organised it.  Oh, and I bread baked for my dad's co-workers and a friend. LOL! Busy weekend huh? I love working especially with my family and the weather was so beautiful!

Today I am wearing a orange, black, white and green skirt, green top, black high-heels, and a green and yellow scarf. Here is the tutorial for my curls, I just slipped a scarf under my hair and and tied it in a knot on the top of my head.

Pretty Banded Waist Sweater Dress

Good morning! Hope you all had a great week. This week we are doing things a little different.

How can I pray for you? You can put your prayer requests in the comments.

Last Thursday my dad drove us up to this town in Northern Kentucky where he grew up. We drove up at night, most of the trip was through the country, it was really neat! Without all of the city lights you could see so many stars. It was so beautiful! The next morning he took us by the place he use to live with his dad. Then we visited a cousin's shop. It was the first time I had ever met her, then we went down to the Ohio River, it was murkier than I expected. It was pretty windy down by the water. It was all full of white caps. Then we decided to walk around the town square. I LOVED all of the old buildings. The air was cool and the sun shining it was such a beautiful day with all of the gold and scarlet leaves. Then we drove into Indiana because only my dad has been there. It was a great time. But I have to say that I was really happy to get home and hug my family & pets (Ok so not really hug the chickens, but I did miss them. I love there cute little faces!)

So today I'm wearing a gray sweater dress and black pants and black boots. Click here for the tutorial on how to do the curls.

African Print Wrap Skirt and Shirt

Hey guys! Welcome back to My Crazy Life, hope you all had a great week. We have gotten so much rain I'm starting to wonder if we need to build an ark. LOL! We got over an inch just last night when a severe weather system went through, Plus it rained all last week so the yard and chicken runs are a muddy mess. We're all trying to wait patiently to find out what my cousins newest addition will be, a boy or girl. Oh bother time zone differences! :) .  Mom and I have been doing some fall cleaning (You know spring cleaning fall cleaning). We just finished going through my Grandma's extensive Christmas Village collection and reorganizing it. The closet looks so much better now! It's getting chilly here and the leaves are beginning to change colors. Its so pretty. My dad and I went to a friends farm Sunday afternoon. She just brought home three donkeys, They were so cute!!!!! I just wanted to kiss there little noses. And of course her goats were adorable as ever (sorry crazy animal lover with a camera). So many things are up in the air that I can't quite share yet, hopefully soon.. but not yet. So for now if you would keep us in your prayers that we make the right decisions. We want to be in His will more than anything.
Today I am wearing a long black and white skirt (the print is sort of African at least that's what it looks like to me) a black capped sleeve shirt under a black velvet tank top with black pants and black boots. I know its kind of hard to see my jewelry because I'm so far from the camera (I would have gotten a closer shot but it started to rain) but in the first shot you can sort of see that I'm wearing two necklaces, One is an African mask necklace the second one is a multiple colored beaded necklace and feather earrings.

Vintage Look Linen Skirt and Top

Good morning! It's cloudy and rainy today, Luna is curled in my lap asleep. We cleaned the garage out this weekend. It looks a lot better but it was sure a lot of work. We were able to pull one of the pieces of furniture that I am re-doing to the front of the garage so I can get it painted and ready for a new home :). We're also fixing up an old tandem bike. We're thinking about painting it red or robins egg blue. What color do you think we should paint it? I think after school I may work on some more pine cone garland it's so fun to make. If you would please keep my cousin Gerald and his family in your prayers, he lost his wife of 56 years Saturday.

Ok, so today I'm wearing a brown skirt, green blouse, green & yellow scarf, pearl earrings I got for Christmas last year and saddle shoes (I LOVE these shoes as much as I love my boots! They are so comfortable!). I put my hair up in a bun to keep it up and out of the way as you can sort of see in the picture below on the right. I should have a tutorial up soon on how to make a bun holder and how to wrap your hair around it just for you who don't know how.

Bright Fall Floral Skirt Outfit

Good morning! My dad got in late last night from Texas. I've missed him a ton, but I still can't believe he has been to the Alamo twice in two weeks. Without me! I've wanted to go for years. Oh well, maybe we can go next year.
Today I'm trying out a new hairstyle so hopefully I will have a tutorial up soon! Keep your fingers crossed. Anyway on to the outfit!
If you haven't noticed my grandma is showing off some of her fall fashion. Everyone say hi to grandma (the beauty of living in the south, everyone calls her grandma). Doesn't she look pretty? She got quite a big response the last time if you want to check it out click Here.  Today she's wearing a floral brown & orange skirt, a brown mock turtleneck sleeveless sweater, and a brown sweater.

Brown Linen Skirt and Military Inspired Vest

Good morning! How are you all doing? Good, I hope. It's been another rough week for our family. We lost our last bunny the other day. :( Patches was so sweet. She was actually born here. I'm going to miss her cute little face in the morning as I head out to feed the chickens. Its been a long year. Hopefully, the next one will be better.

If you would keep my Grandma in your prayers. It would mean so much. It's been a hard year for her. She has been having "mini strokes" since June.

OK enough bad news. My dad is getting ready for his trip to Texas on Friday. He was down there last week and went to the Alamo. Needless to say being the history lover that I am I was NOT happy he went without me. But at least I got a postcard! I've been collecting them for a couple years. They are just so fun. I love getting mail from different states and countries. I know it's kind of weird but- normal is so overrated!

Ahh! Fall is in the air. :) It got down in the 40's last night. Mhhmm. I think I am finally ready for fall. I have a shaky relationship with fall. Part of me hates it because though people at church call me Elsa (you know from the Disney cartoon Frozen) the cold really does bother me. Usually, by the end of December beginning of January, I can't wait for it to get warm. But on the other hand, I love the cool weather, cozy sweaters, stunning leaves, crisp mornings, bonfires, s'mores (oh and chocolate don't forget the chocolate!) and boots. LOL! Yeah, definitely a weirdo, (even before you add in the fact I love school. Though that may be due to the fact I'm home schooled).

So this week I'm wearing a "new" brown skirt that comes to just below my knee. A white short sleeved shirt under a brown vest type shirt and black boots -which I absolutely adore! *Sigh* I love boots!
